issued while the islands were under British control, for the bicentennial of the discovery of Fiji. Proof silver crown, with a cameo of Captain William Bligh, and a British launch and native vessels on the reverse.

The Mutiny on the Bounty really did happen. After Fletcher Christian and the mutineers gained control of the ship, Captain Bligh and the loyal crewmen were ordered to sail away in Bounty's launch. After a short stay on one island, where one of the men was killed by the natives, Bligh set out on a 3,500 mile voyage in the boat, and safely arrived in the Dutch port of Coupang.

The coin shows a cameo of Bligh, and it appears to be the launch that is at Fiji, but according to the Wikipedia article, it was Fletcher Christian and the mutineers who sailed through the Fiji Islands, on their way to find a home on Pitcairn Island.
